Visy Logistics Bolsters Fleet for Coca-Cola Partnership
Visy Logistics has expanded its fleet to support a new linehaul partnership with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP).
The company is introducing new Volvo FH600 prime movers and higher-capacity B-double trailer combinations.
The prime movers have Euro 6 engines, which use 5% less fuel than the previous-generation Euro 5 vehicles.
Visy said that the new 36-pallet B-double configurations provide an additional 6% of carrying capacity compared to 34-pallet setups.
This will help reduce the number of truck movements required to transport the same volume of freight, making the supply chain more efficient and sustainable.
CCEP's National Transport Manager of Logistics, Australia Pacific Tim Chapman highlighted the importance of reliable transport capacity for the beverage giant's nationwide operations.
