Vueling, the Spanish low-cost airline and subsidiary of International Airlines Group (IAG), plans to expand its use of the Boeing 737 Max 8-200 aircraft on several routes from Barcelona in the summer flight schedule of 2027.

The Boeing 737 Max 8-200 is designed for up to 197 passengers and will be deployed on routes to Brussels, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Milan-Malpensa, Munich, and Porto, among others.

This move is a response to high demand on busy city routes within Europe. The aircraft allows Vueling to increase the number of seats per flight compared to conventional aircraft of this size class.
