The Vuelta a España's stage 3 was cancelled due to a severe hailstorm that caught the peloton off guard. In the chaos, cyclists took shelter at the IGESA Village Club Mont-Louis Les Sorbiers, a 1-star hotel and military training center in the French Pyrénées.

Many riders have since posted glowing reviews of the hotel's hospitality on Google, but some appear to be fake or exaggerated. For example, a review from 'Tadej Pogačar' claims that he and his girlfriend were provided with shelter and hot tea by the staff.

However, other cyclists, such as Will Barta, Julien Bernard, and Tobias Johannessen, have posted genuine reviews praising the hotel's kindness and generosity. American veteran Larry Warbasse told The Cycling Podcast that the staff went above and beyond to care for the riders, providing towels, hot tea, fruit, and Haribo candies.

The IGESA Village Club Mont-Louis Les Sorbiers has seen a significant increase in ratings since the incident, jumping from 1 star to a 4.9-star-rated viral sensation.
