VZ Expands Google Cloud Partnership: Is Verizon Still Undervalued?
Verizon Communications (VZ) has announced an expanded partnership with Google Cloud that will integrate Gemini Enterprise AI tools across various areas of its business, including customer service, network operations, marketing, and internal workflows.
The company's stock price has been on the rise, with a year-to-date return of 24.01% and a 30-day return of 8.34%. Over the past year, Verizon Communications' total shareholder return stands at 22.11%.
Despite its recent gains, the stock is still considered undervalued by some analysts, with a fair value estimate of $50.50, indicating a modest discount to its current price of around $50.25.
However, the company's debt load and potential execution risks associated with the Gemini integration may limit its flexibility if cash flows soften or interest rates remain restrictive.
