Wall Street Futures Tread Water Ahead of Key Data and Earnings
Futures on the Dow Jones and S&P 500 slipped slightly in European trading on Wednesday, ahead of key economic data releases and earnings announcements.
The Dow Jones futures were near 53,650, while S&P 500 futures dropped 0.11% to about 7,680 and Nasdaq 100 futures eased 0.23% to roughly 29,210.
Nvidia's post-market earnings are expected to trigger significant market moves, with the company's historical implied move averaging between 8% and 10%, potentially swinging Nasdaq 100 derivatives dramatically.
Market attention is also focused on a Jackson Hole speech by Fed Chair Kevin Warsh on Friday, as investors look for signals on a possible September rate cut.
