Wall Street Zen Upgrades Pearson Stock to Buy
Pearson (NYSE:PSO) has received a boost from Wall Street Zen, which upgraded its rating to 'buy' from 'hold'. This is not the first time Pearson's stock has been upgraded; in June, Weiss Ratings also raised its rating to 'buy'.
Despite this positive development, some analysts remain cautious. Deutsche Bank Aktiengesellschaft and JPMorgan Chase & Co. have both maintained their 'hold' ratings on the company's shares. The Goldman Sachs Group even downgraded Pearson from 'buy' to 'neutral' in August.
Pearson's stock price has been relatively stable, ranging from $12.02 to $17.75 over the past year. Its current share price is around $16.71. Institutional investors hold a significant portion of Pearson's shares, with 2.14% owned by hedge funds and other institutional investors.
Pearson is a global education company that provides educational content, digital learning tools, and assessment services. Its American subsidiary trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol PSO.
