Walmart Gains Institutional Investor Support Amid Ongoing Earnings Growth
Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec has acquired a new stake in shares of Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ:WMT), investing $400,094,000 in approximately 3,532,526 shares.
This is not the only institutional investor to have made changes to its position in Walmart stock in recent quarters. Norges Bank bought a new position valued at about $6,458,529,000 in the fourth quarter, while Legal & General Group Plc acquired a new position worth approximately $2,905,655,000 in the second quarter.
AQR Capital Management LLC lifted its position in shares of Walmart by 188.1% in the third quarter and now owns 11,663,172 shares worth $1,199,907,000. Deutsche Bank AG grew its holdings in shares of Walmart by 54.0% during the second quarter and now owns 18,607,297 shares valued at $2,107,462,000.
