Walmart Price Target Cut to $140.00 Amid Selloff
The price target for Walmart (NASDAQ:WMT) has been lowered to $140.00 by equities researchers at BTIG Research, a decrease from their previous estimate of $145.00.
This comes after Walmart's recent quarterly earnings report, in which the company exceeded analyst estimates with adjusted earnings of $0.81 per share and revenue of $187.94 billion, up 5.9% year over year.
Despite this positive news, some analysts view the current selloff as a potential entry point for investors due to Walmart's scale, international operations, digital growth, advertising business, and margin gains.
However, others have expressed concerns about the company's valuation, which is roughly 36 times earnings, leaving less room for execution disappointments.
