Walmart Rolls Out Tap to Pay Service Starting Next Week

Walmart is finally catching up to the digital payment wave with its 'Tap to Pay' service. Starting next week, customers can use Google Pay for a quicker and more secure buying experience at select Walmart stores and Sam's Club locations in the U.S.

The rollout of Tap to Pay will be completed by the end of 2026, with all U.S. stores and clubs equipped with the technology. Fuel stations will also have the service available by mid-2027.

This move comes as a response to the growing demand for contactless payments in the retail industry. Walmart's decision to support Google Pay is a significant development, considering the company's massive customer base.
