This is not an isolated instance; several other large investors have recently acquired stakes in WMT. In fact, about 26.76% of the company's outstanding shares are now owned by institutional investors.
Walmart has reported strong earnings results for its fiscal second-quarter period. Revenue reached $187.9 billion, a growth of 5.9% year-over-year. The company's e-commerce segment grew by 23%, while advertising revenue increased by 38%. Despite this success, the stock price has declined in recent weeks.
