Walmart Stock Forecast: Wall Street Sees Big Upside Despite Recent Declines
Wall Street analysts are extremely optimistic about Walmart's (WMT) future performance, predicting significant upside over the next twelve months. The company's stock has fallen 9.9% in the past week and 5.0% in the last month, but its price is still up 6.6% over the past year.
BofA analyst Christopher Nardone views Walmart's recent pullback as a buying opportunity, citing the company's ability to gain market share despite slower U.S. comps. He notes that management has raised its second-half U.S. sales outlook and points to strong double-digit growth in gross merchandise value (GMV) and increased capital expenditures.
Nardone is not alone in his bullish assessment, as multiple analysts have reiterated their Buy ratings on the company's stock. Michael Baker of BofA and Simeon Gutman of Morgan Stanley both maintain that Walmart's high-margin e-commerce flywheel and tariff-funded price cuts will support future growth.
