Walmart Stock Jumps 2.2% as Company Expands Restaurant Delivery
Walmart (NASDAQ:WMT) shares rose 2.2% in trading on Thursday, reaching as high as $109.35 and closing at $108.42.
The stock traded a significant volume of 25,367,742 shares during mid-day trading, which was a decline of 1% from the average daily volume of 25,720,781 shares.
This rise in share price comes as Walmart expands its restaurant delivery service through a partnership with Dunkin', adding more locations to its three-month-old service and increasing competition with DoorDash and Uber Eats.
