Walt Disney World Adds Lighter Option with New Baked Chicken Tenders
Disney's Animal Kingdom has added a new menu item at Pizzafari: Baked Chicken Tenders. These tenders are a lighter alternative to the fried options available around Walt Disney World, priced at $12.99. The dish includes Tangy Dipping Sauce and Kettle Chips.
We stopped by on September 6 to try the new item. Our first impression was that these chicken tenders are fairly basic, but the baked breading feels distinctly lighter than what you'd find on fried tenders. The coating is crispy on the outside, while the chicken inside is moist and tender.
The accompanying Tangy Dipping Sauce tastes noticeably different from other Walt Disney World sauces. It's very tangy with a lightly spicy bite at the end. However, it wasn't our favorite dipping sauce, and we would probably opt for ranch instead next time.
Overall, the Baked Chicken Tenders aren't overly impressive but are a solid option if you're looking for something lighter than fried chicken tenders. They earn a 4 out of 7 rating.
