Walt Disney World Monorail Narration Gets Update Amidst EPCOT Festival

The Walt Disney World Monorail system has undergone some changes in its narration. Guests can now expect to hear a new spiel that includes updated language warning against smoking and vaping.

The 'No Smoking' alert has been revised to include a ban on vaping, both on the monorail and inside the parks. The revised message emphasizes that smoking or vaping is only allowed in designated areas outside the gates.

The changes also affect the section of the journey that passes through EPCOT. Gone are mentions of the cancelled Play! Pavilion project, which was originally announced for 2019 but put on hold in 2023.

The monorail's narration now highlights the different neighborhoods within EPCOT, including World Celebration, World Discovery, and World Nature, with brief descriptions of what guests can expect to find in each area.
