Walt Disney World Under Heat Advisory Through Early Next Week

A heat advisory is back in effect for the Walt Disney World area on August 12, 2026, from 10am to 8pm due to a prolonged heat wave.

The National Weather Service in Melbourne expects heat index values near or above advisory criteria through at least Friday, with hot conditions continuing well into next week.

Tonight's heat index will reach 108 to 112 degrees, slightly higher than yesterday's advisory and covering a wider stretch of Florida including Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Lake counties.

The Weather Service expects the same pattern to repeat Thursday through Saturday with highs in the low to mid 90s and heat index values staying at or near advisory levels each afternoon.
