Warrior Games Return to Walt Disney World for Third Time
The Warrior Games are returning to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex next year. The annual sports competition, held for wounded, ill, and injured service members and veterans, will take place from August 7-14, 2027.
This is the third time the event will be hosted at the venue, which previously welcomed the Warrior Games in 2022 and 2024. The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex offers over 260 acres of competition venues across indoor and outdoor facilities, making it uniquely suited for the Warrior Games.
Nearly 200 competitors from all military services will participate in 12 adaptive sports during the games, including archery, cycling, field events, indoor rowing, pickleball, powerlifting, precision air, sitting volleyball, swimming, track, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair rugby. The event aims to foster support for recovery journeys and showcase the determination of military service members.
