Weil Jumps to Amazon as Head of Comedy After 11-Year Stint at Netflix

Andy Weil, a comedy development executive who spent over 11 years at Netflix, is joining Amazon as its new head of comedy. The move reunites Weil with his former boss Peter Friedlander, now head of global TV at Amazon MGM Studios.

Weil's extensive experience in comedy development has yielded several hit series for Netflix, including 'Master of None,' 'A Man on the Inside,' and 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.'
