Wells Fargo Stands Firm on BP Hold Rating Despite Mixed Industry Views

A Wells Fargo analyst has reaffirmed their 'Hold' rating on BP (BP) despite mixed views from other firms. Sam Margolin, a 5-star analyst with an average return of 14.8% and a 69.97% success rate, maintains his Hold rating on the energy company.

The price target for BP remains at $48.00, up from its closing price of $42.44 on August 6. Margolin's coverage includes Energy sector stocks such as Marathon Petroleum and Chevron.

BP received a conflicting 'Buy' rating from Mizuho Securities on July 20, while Piper Sandler's John Royall maintained a Hold on the company in a report issued on July 23.
