West Side Amazon Delivery Driver's SUV Stolen During Delivery
A woman had her SUV stolen on the West Side of San Antonio while she was making an Amazon delivery. The incident occurred in the 10000 block of Prescott Drive, where the 18-year-old driver left her vehicle running to quickly complete the delivery.
The thief allegedly rushed into the unlocked SUV and drove off, prompting police to respond at around 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2026. A helicopter was deployed to help locate the stolen vehicle, which was found about three miles away in the 7200 block of Leafwood Drive.
When police surrounded the SUV, the driver bailed out and ran on foot for a block before being detained for questioning. The identity and charges against the suspect are still unclear as the investigation continues.
