Western Wealth Invests $1.05 Million in IBM Amid Quantum Computing Push
Western Wealth Management LLC has invested $1.05 million in International Business Machines Corporation (NYSE:IBM). The institutional investor acquired 3,746 shares of IBM's stock during the second quarter, according to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
This is not an isolated case, as several other hedge funds have also added to or reduced their stakes in IBM. Basepoint Wealth LLC purchased a new stake worth $25,000 in the fourth quarter, while Cornerstone Financial Management LLC acquired 3,200 shares valued at about $28,000.
IBM has been making strides in quantum computing and life-sciences research, with its team advancing to the finals for the 2026 ACM Gordon Bell Prize. Analysts have also highlighted the company's potential upside if its quantum-computing initiatives advance commercially.
