WIMCA 2026: Resilience Takes Center Stage in Lagos
The Women in Marketing and Communications Conference and Awards (WIMCA) is set to take place on August 29 at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos. This year's event, now in its 12th edition, has grown into the largest gathering of female marketing and communications professionals in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The conference will focus on 'Grow, Give, Glow: Building Resilience for Distinction,' with sessions built around resilience, ongoing learning, mentorship, and authentic leadership within the marketing and communications space. The full-day program will run alongside an exhibition, a gala dinner, and an awards ceremony that includes WIMCA's annual recognition of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing and Communications.
Notable speakers at this year's conference include Dr Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi, President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, and Procter & Gamble's Country Manager East & Central Africa Chidera Ibekwe. Other speakers include Dr Nkiru Olumide-Ojo of Standard Bank Group, Gloria Nwabuike of AACE Foods, and Solape Akinpelu of Hervest.
