Windows 10 Receives Eighth Extended Security Update
Microsoft has released the eighth extended security update for Windows 10 since mainstream support ended last year. The KB5120249 update is available for various versions of Windows 10, including Windows 10 21H2 and Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021.
The update includes fixes for a range of security issues and other problems that have been discovered. However, there are no new features added to the operating system.
According to Microsoft, the KB5120249 update addresses several issues, including automatic backups to network shares using Server Message Block (SMB) that might fail with an incorrect 'invalid credentials' error.
