Windows 11 Games Crashing Due to RGB Lighting Software
Microsoft has confirmed that certain games are crashing on Windows 11 due to RGB lighting software. The issue affects peripherals and internal hardware components with drivers or code similar to inpoutx64.
The problem was reported after Microsoft's KB5121003 update for Windows 11, which changed how low-level driver behavior is handled. This may expose compatibility problems that previously went unnoticed, causing games or their anti-cheat systems to fail when the affected driver is present.
Affected gamers should check if they have RGB-control software or hardware utilities installing low-level drivers, and avoid deleting system drivers unless they know which application installed them.
