Windows 11 Gets Boost: Faster Boot Times and Optimized Performance Ahead

Microsoft has been working on performance improvements for Windows 11, with the goal of faster boot times and better responsiveness. This comes after Mark Linton, head of Windows & Devices at Microsoft, confirmed that upcoming updates will include improved startup speeds. According to Linton, significant progress has already been made in both areas.

The company is also committed to optimizing Windows 11 for devices with only 8GB of RAM, which remains common in many Surface models. This renewed commitment comes after Microsoft recently halved the RAM in its own Surface laptops, which now have 8GB and 256GB of storage. The minimum recommended RAM for Windows 11 was previously listed as 32GB, but this requirement has been removed from Microsoft's support pages.
