Windows 11 Taskbar Updates Coming Soon: Microsoft Confirms Rollout Timeline
Microsoft is gearing up to release major updates for Windows 11's Taskbar and Start menu. The new features include the ability to move and resize the Taskbar, as well as customize the size and sections of the Start menu.
The changes were first announced earlier this year and have been available in public preview through the Windows Insider Program. However, they are now making their way to the Release Preview Channel, which is the final stop before features begin shipping in public updates.
According to Microsoft's usual rollout schedule, it typically takes two or three weeks for a feature to appear in a public update after landing in the Release Preview Channel. This means that users who have the 'Get the latest updates as soon as they're available' toggle enabled in Windows Update will likely see the new Taskbar and Start menu features later this month.
Microsoft is slowly but surely ensuring that Windows 10 users feel comfortable with the move to Windows 11, and making sure that functionality already present in Windows 10 is also available on Windows 11 is one way of doing that.
