Windows 11 Update Brings USB Audio Failures and Code 10 Errors
The latest Windows 11 Patch Tuesday update has caused issues for some USB Audio Class 1.0 devices, resulting in complete loss of audio output.
Affected hardware may report a Code 10 error in Device Manager, while users may also experience unresponsive volume controls and loss of multichannel and 3D audio features.
Microsoft has confirmed the problem and is investigating a permanent fix, but has not provided an official workaround yet. Users have reported that switching to 2-channel audio can restore sound, although this may not work for all affected devices.
