Windows 11 Update Causes Mouse Cursor Chaos
Microsoft's latest Windows 11 update has caused quite a stir among users. The KB5120998 update, released on August 27, 2026, is reportedly responsible for breaking mouse cursor functionality in Windows 11.
Users have complained of erratic behavior with their mouse cursors, including constant shrinking and enlarging, as well as unexpected color changes. This has left many users frustrated and disrupted their workflow.
Microsoft acknowledged the issue after receiving multiple user reports and is currently investigating its cause. However, it's unclear whether the problem originated in the update itself or was triggered by a third-party conflict after installation.
In addition to the mouse cursor issues, some users have also reported that their desktop wallpaper has turned completely black following the update.
