Windows 11 Update Causes USB Audio Bug
Microsoft's recent September security update, KB5124008, has caused a bug in Windows 11 that affects USB Audio Class 1.0 devices. This issue is limited to Windows 11 versions 24H2, 25H2, and 26H1, with no Windows Server platforms listed as affected.
Affected users may experience a Code 10 error, unresponsive volume controls, or no audio output after installing the update released on September 8. The problem can also appear when using devices in multichannel audio modes.
Microsoft is working on a resolution and has not provided a final fix yet. In the meantime, affected users may try switching their device to standard two-channel stereo mode as a temporary workaround.
