Windows 11 Update Triggers Errors in Games Due to RGB Device Similarities
Microsoft has identified the cause of errors and reboots in three PC games: MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, ARC Raiders, and THE FINALS. The issue is linked to RGB devices and components with file name similarities in their software.
The company discovered that peripherals or internal device components with RGB lighting features install drivers or code components with file names similar to inpoutx64. This similarity triggers the error when launching certain games.
Microsoft hasn't provided a fix yet, but is working to understand the relationship between these RGB components and the affected games. In the meantime, the developer of Arc Raiders, Embark Studios, has offered a workaround solution that involves deleting Inpoutx64.sys and wiping it from the OS's registry.
