Windows 11 Users Get Granular Privacy Controls
Microsoft has started testing new privacy controls for Windows 11 users, allowing them to choose which desktop applications can access their camera, microphone, and precise location.
This feature is currently available in Windows 11 Insider Experimental Preview Build 26340.9233 and will make it easier for users to manage permissions on a per-app basis.
The new controls give users greater visibility into which apps are requesting access to sensitive resources and more control over their privacy choices.
Microsoft warns users to only grant access to trusted apps, as some may appear under different names or without publisher information due to shared system components or browser-hosted experiences.
