Microsoft's Windows 11 operating system has been found to consume an excessive amount of RAM when running its built-in weather app. According to a report, the app hogs more than 1 GB of RAM, which is higher than expected for such a lightweight application.

The issue was discovered by a user who checked the app's memory usage and found it to be significantly high. The user reported that the app consumed around 1.12 GB of RAM, while other weather apps on the same device were only using around 10-20 MB.

Windows 11's built-in weather app is designed to provide users with a simple way to check the current weather and forecast without having to install additional software. However, it appears that this convenience comes at the cost of significant memory usage.
