WMT Beats Earnings Expectations as Walmart Expands Apple Pay Integration
Walmart (WMT) has reported its Q2 FY27 earnings results, beating revenue and EPS expectations.
The company attributed this success to strong global e-commerce growth, as well as increased sales in advertising and marketplaces.
However, management also noted weak US comparable store sales, which tempered the overall outlook.
In addition to its quarterly results, Walmart has announced that it will start accepting Apple Pay for contactless in-store checkout, expanding payment options for customers.
This move comes as UBS and Guggenheim have both revised their price targets for WMT downwards, from $141 to $130 and from $135 to $130 respectively.
