Women in Golf Celebrate Growing Opportunities Ahead of Amgen Irish Open

A celebration of women in golf took place ahead of the Amgen Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Doonbeg.

The event, hosted by the DP World Tour, brought together female golfers and industry professionals to share their experiences and discuss the growing opportunities available to women in golf.

Áine Donegan, a Clare golfer who recently joined the Ladies European Tour, was one of the speakers at the event. She reflected on her own journey from local golf to the professional game, highlighting the importance of female role models in encouraging young women to pursue careers in sport.

The event also explored the contribution of women working behind the scenes in major sporting events, including hospitality and refereeing.
