WPP Secures Global Media Contract with Coca-Cola
WPP is set to retain its global media, data, and technology business for The Coca-Cola Company after a review process. According to Ad Age, WPP will keep managing Coca-Cola's creative and public relations work worldwide, as well as its broader media, data, and technology relationship with the beverage giant.
This decision comes almost five years after Coca-Cola appointed WPP to manage creative, media, data, and marketing technology across approximately 200 brands. WPP subsequently established Open X as a dedicated unit for the business.
However, in early 2025, Coca-Cola moved its North America media account to Publicis Groupe, taking a significant portion of the business away from WPP. Nevertheless, WPP will continue to manage Coca-Cola's global creative and public relations work.
