Wylde Brings Metal Legacy to San Antonio with Double Bill Tribute
Zakk Wylde is bringing his musical legacy to San Antonio's Boeing Center at Tech Port on September 4, as part of a double bill featuring both Black Label Society and Zakk Sabbath. At 59 years old, Wylde has spent four decades honing his craft in the metal scene.
The show will serve as a tribute to Wylde's late friend and former bandmate Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away just 17 days after their final performance together at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. The two musicians had a deep bond that went beyond music, with Osbourne serving as godfather to Wylde's oldest son.
Zakk Sabbath, the power trio formed by Wylde in 2014, will take the stage first, followed by Black Label Society. The band has been touring extensively since Wylde joined Pantera in July 2022, and their current run includes a stop at the Rocklahoma festival on September 6.
Tickets for the San Antonio show range from $114.48 to $158.60, with prices varying depending on seating and availability. The Boeing Center at Tech Port is a state-of-the-art venue featuring a 3,100-capacity arena, a 60-by-20-foot LED wall, and built-in musical Tesla coils.
The show promises to be an unforgettable experience for fans of metal music, as Wylde brings his unique blend of talent and emotion to the stage in tribute to his dear friend and former bandmate. With over four decades of history between them, this performance will undoubtedly be a testament to their enduring legacy.
