Xbox Cloud Gaming Introduces Tiered Streaming Limits
Microsoft has introduced a new tier system for its Xbox Cloud Gaming service, capping monthly streaming sessions to between five and fifteen hours. This change affects all users, regardless of subscription type, and aims to prevent server overload during peak evening hours.
The base package allows for up to 5 hours of monthly streaming, while the premium option expands this limit to 15 hours. However, both tiers enforce hard stops when the timer reaches zero.
Users who exhaust their allotted minutes can purchase additional streams through a direct portal, with prices fluctuating based on seasonal demand spikes.
