Xbox Cloud Streaming Limits Introduced by Microsoft
Microsoft has announced significant changes to its Xbox Cloud Gaming service for Game Pass subscribers. The company will now limit monthly streaming time, starting in November.
The new limits are as follows: Game Pass Ultimate members can stream for up to 15 hours per month, while Game Pass Premium subscribers have a limit of 10 hours and Game Pass Essential users can stream for 5 hours.
Microsoft claims that this change is necessary due to the increasing cost of providing cloud gaming services. The company states that moving to monthly limits will allow it to continue investing in the service's reliability and performance.
For those who reach their monthly limit, Microsoft plans to offer additional cloud playtime for purchase through the Xbox Store. However, no prices have been disclosed yet.
