Xbox Disc-to-Digital Program Works for Delisted Games in UAE, Saudi Arabia

Xbox has introduced its Disc-to-Digital program to Microsoft Insiders on August 31, which allows users to digitize their physical game discs. The feature is currently available in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.

The program lets users insert a physical game disc into an Xbox One or Xbox Series X console and add a digitally playable version to their account. This means that users can then take their games to other Xbox-compatible devices, such as PCs, without needing the disc.

So far, many delisted games have been found to work with the Disc-to-Digital program, including titles like Deadpool, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and Minecraft: Xbox One Edition. However, not all games are compatible, and users report that some delisted Sega titles do not work.

Xbox Insiders have compiled a list of working titles on Reddit, which includes music games like Avicii Invector and the Rock Band 4 series. It's worth noting that Microsoft has not confirmed whether this is intentional behavior or if each game needs to be offered on the Xbox storefront to be compatible.

As for availability in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, Disc-to-Digital is currently only available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X discs, with publishers deciding eligibility. It's also unclear how imported or multi-region discs will behave while testing continues.
