Xbox Series X25 Collection Launches at $899.99 Amid Declining Console Revenue
Microsoft has launched its limited edition Xbox Series X25 collection, priced at $899.99. This high-end release is aimed at gauging pricing power as console revenue drops 29%.
The Xbox Series X25 package includes a see-through green console with 1TB of storage capacity, a matching controller, and a Halo: Campaign Evolved download. Each console is individually numbered, adding to its exclusivity.
This marks the first time Microsoft has launched a premium-priced console in response to declining hardware sales. The Xbox Series X25 collection commands a $100 markup over the standard 1TB Series X, which is priced at $799.99.
The company's decision to launch this limited edition console may be seen as a test of demand following a sharp drop in hardware sales. If dedicated buyers are willing to accept higher prices, it could indicate a sustained rebound in hardware sales.
