Xbox Turns 25: Microsoft Unveils $900 Anniversary Console
Microsoft is celebrating its 25th anniversary of Xbox by releasing a limited-edition version of the Series X. This special edition console is reportedly priced at $900, making it the most expensive Xbox yet.
The new model costs $100 more than the current Xbox Series X with its 'carbon black' design, which itself matches the price of a PlayStation 5 Pro after a recent price increase.
According to Dealabs, this version of the console will include 1TB of storage capacity and a disc drive. The controller, also available as a standalone purchase, features nods to Xbox's history, including original face button colors and rear bumpers inspired by the 'Duke' controller.
This special edition is not just about looks; it comes with a translucent green finish that lets you see its inner workings. Owners will also discover hidden Easter eggs throughout the chassis.
