Jonathan Yoshihiro defended his title at the APGA Mastercard Tour Championship, winning the weather-shortened tournament for the second consecutive year. The Yorba Linda, California native shot a 3-under-par 67 in the opening round on Baltusrol Golf Club's Lower Course before waiting out multiple delays during what was to be Thursday's final round.

The tournament was eventually shortened to 18 holes due to inclement weather, but Yoshihiro emerged victorious after a birdie on the 11th hole and an eagle on the par-5 18th. He earned $32,000 in prize money from a $100,000 purse and secured 1,000 points toward the APGA's Jeff Dailey standings and Cisco Cup Series standings.

Yoshihiro attributed his success to his ability to perform under pressure, stating, 'I feel like when the stakes are high, it brings out the best in me. I love the high-pressure environment, and I want to get it done.'

The win marked Yoshihiro's second APGA victory of his career, with the first coming last year at Bally's Golf Links at Ferry Point. The 31-year-old golfer is a product of California State University Fullerton.
