YouTube Apps Set for Liquid Glass Redesign Ahead of iOS Update

Google is reportedly preparing to update its YouTube and YouTube Music apps with a Liquid Glass redesign. The design language, which was first introduced by Apple, has been met with mixed reviews from users.

A screenshot shared on X by MacRumors analyst Aaron Perris reveals feature flags for both apps, including support for Live Activities, which will enable real-time updates in the Dynamic Island interface.

While it's unclear how Liquid Glass will be implemented on YouTube and YouTube Music, Google has already updated some of its other apps with this design element. The company's Chrome browser and Gemini news app are examples of apps that have adopted Liquid Glass, blending in well with the iOS operating system.
