Zoom and Outlook Top Target List for Cybercriminals in 4.7 Million Attacks
Cybercriminals have been using popular workplace tools to deceive employees, resulting in over 4.7 million attempted attacks between July 2025 and June 2026.
Kaspersky detected 4,781,846 attempts to exploit trusted workplace applications, with Zoom being the most targeted platform at 2,658,283 incidents.
Microsoft Outlook followed closely behind with 1,546,122 attempted attacks, while other platforms like OneDrive, Excel, and Teams also saw significant activity.
Kaspersky warned that as employees return to regular work schedules following the international summer period, cybercriminals may use legitimate digital services to make malicious communications appear credible.
