$149.6 Billion Revenue, $10.8 Billion Taxes: NLNG's Record-Breaking Performance
Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has generated $149.6 billion in revenue since its inception and paid $10.8 billion in taxes to the Federal Government, according to the company's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Adeleye Falade.
Falade presented the facts and figures 2026 annual report on NLNG's operations, projects, and impact, highlighting that the company has also paid $47.2 billion in dividends to its shareholders, including the Federal Government, which holds the largest equity stake in the company.
NLNG currently operates six liquefaction trains with assets valued at more than $22.9 billion and has built a fleet of 20 dedicated LNG vessels that have loaded over 6,285 cargoes for customers worldwide. The company now contributes about six per cent to global liquefied natural gas supply, reinforcing Nigeria's position in the international LNG market.
Falade also discussed the train 7 expansion project on Bonny Island, Rivers State, which is nearing completion at 93%. The project will increase NLNG's LNG production capacity by 35% and raise liquefied petroleum gas output by 50%, creating additional export volumes while supporting domestic gas supply.
