$18 Billion in Oil Sales Amid War with US, Iran's Revenue Beats Forecast

Iran's oil ministry announced that it sold $18 billion worth of oil during the recent war and subsequent ceasefire with the United States. This figure is divided into $11.5 billion in sales during the conflict and $6.5 billion during the ceasefire, which collapsed earlier this month.

The oil sales covered over 60% of the revenue forecast for the current year amid the crisis, according to the ministry's statement on its official website.

This comes as a surprise, given that Iran's parliament speaker and chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stated in late June that Iran was unable to export any oil during the US blockade on its ports.
