$200 Billion South Korea Investment Bolsters US Energy Dominance
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that South Korea is investing up to $200 billion in U.S. energy projects, including a major Texas gas-fired power plant and eight new nuclear reactors.
The investment package, part of a broader $350 billion deal, also includes the Alaska LNG project, which will deliver nearly 4 billion cubic feet of liquefied natural gas per day.
'This is a major step towards securing our critical energy supply chain and ensuring American energy dominance,' Trump said at the White House. 'Our partnership with South Korea and the entire Pacific region has never been stronger.'
