$20k Gold Seen as Last Hope Amid US Debt Spiral

Matthew Piepenburg, founder of Commodity Culture and partner to Von Greyerz, recently sounded the alarm on the US's massive debt pile. He referred to it as a 'spiral' that threatens global financial stability. The $40 trillion debt burden has major implications for the dollar's reserve status.

Piepenburg pointed out that central banks are increasingly stacking gold instead of Treasuries, which he believes is a vote of no confidence in the US government's ability to manage its finances effectively.

According to Piepenburg, 'Gold will no longer be the enemy. It will become our last best hope.' He advocates for letting gold run and revaluing it as a means to monetize the long end of the debt curve, potentially reaching $20,000 per ounce, which would yield over $5 trillion.

Piepenburg is also bullish on silver, stating that prices above $110 were just the beginning, with $100 silver being left behind. He emphasizes the importance of physical ownership and advises stacking gold as a means to prepare for the impending financial crisis.
