The United States has accumulated over $40 trillion in debt, prompting concerns among global investors. As interest rates and tariffs imposed on other countries continue to rise, some major government funds are reevaluating their investments in US bonds.

Central banks around the world are increasingly buying gold as a reserve asset, with the total amount purchased by central banks reaching 863 tonnes in 2025. This trend is expected to continue, with Poland, Uzbekistan, China, and Kazakhstan all increasing their gold reserves in 2026.

Germans companies have reduced their investments in the US by 65% in the first half of 2026, while simultaneously increasing their investments in China by one-third. This shift is attributed to ongoing uncertainty regarding Trump's tariff and trade policies.
