$4.30 Gas Prices Hit Florida as Crude Oil Costs Soar
Florida's gas prices have hit $4.30 per gallon after a 21-cent increase last week, according to ABC7 WWSB.
The surge in fuel costs is attributed to rising crude oil prices, which rose by as much as 27% over the past three weeks.
Mark Jenkins, spokesman for AAA - The Auto Club Group, stated that since oil accounts for about half the price of gasoline, higher crude costs are making their way to gas stations nationwide.
The state average is $1.16 per gallon more than this time last year and 35 cents more than a month ago.
