$54 Billion Investment Planned for Alaska LNG Project
The White House announced a planned $54 billion South Korean investment in Alaska LNG, marking significant progress for the long-awaited project.
Sen. Dan Sullivan described Alaska LNG as 'the single most important project for our state's future,' citing its potential to create thousands of jobs and provide a dependable supply of natural gas to Alaskan households and businesses.
The investment announcement follows months of agreements between gas suppliers, overseas customers, construction companies, equipment manufacturers, and Alaska utilities.
Glenfarne has described the project as two financially independent phases: Phase One would build the pipeline to bring North Slope gas to Alaska consumers, while Phase Two would add an LNG export terminal for overseas sales.
